Cultural Differences between Japan and the United States
When speaking of Japan and the United States cultural values, they tend to have similar
aspects while having differences as well. In the United States, people view it as a country that is
very diverse with many people who has different cultures. The American culture has values and
customs that many partake in, such as holidays. Meanwhile, Japan is known as one of the
countries that has been impacted by their culture, and majority of the people follow it.
Since the United States is combined of various cultures, it is known as a heterogeneous
nation. This means that the country is well diverse. For example, food is a custom of each culture
and most countries tend to have a dish that is considered a staple in their lifestyle. Some
American dishes are a hamburger with French fries, or a portion of meatloaf. In other countries,
they may call French fries something, like chips, but it is a well-known fast food, American
