Midterm Action Plan – MWY 101
Assessing your performance in each of your courses is critical to achieving your desired academic goals.
Be honest with your appraisal of your performance and what you believe you can achieve during the
second half of the semester.
Grade Point Average
Just like in high school, each of your courses will assign you a letter grade based upon your performance
in class. It is important to be cognizant of the your current grade point average throughout your course
and anticipate your grade point average at the end of your course.
1. List your courses and your known midterm grades for each. If you do not have a midterm grade,
estimate what you think it is. Then calculate your grade point average.
If all your courses are 3-credit courses, use the following math to calculate grade:
A = 4 points, B = 3 points, C = 2 points, D = 1 point, F = 0 points. Total points divided by total number
of courses. If you have 1-credit courses, you can use the following website to calculate
