Is The Government Be A Government That It Said To Be?
Throughout history, this government was settle down with the promised of constitution for
people and by people. But now it’s not. What we can see now is this country is selfish to
itself. Why I say it’s selfish, because this country is not running for everyone and by
everyone. But it running for some people that are represent for us and benefit for us.
At first, there are a lot of problems in this country about the political, such as people now
presenting for us, they not represent for us any more they just want to benefit themselves
by using this system of laws to do it. For example, president George Bush, he used the
signing statements to assert that he has the power to disobey newly enacted laws is a main
part of his comprehensive strategy to strengthen and expand executive power. According to
the report by the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service, it said the Bush
administration is using signing statements as a means to slowly condition Congress into
accepting the White House’s broad conception of presidential power, which includes a
presidential right to ignore laws which he believes that are unconstitutional. This is
problem effects the prestige of the Checks and Balances system, which has been given out
