Executive Summary
Telecommuting is becoming a major incentive to both employers and employees. New
college graduates along with seasoned professionals enjoy the freedom and flexibility of
telecommuting. An increasing number of organizations have implemented flexible work
schedules for employees. Latest telecommuting statistics show that from 2013 to 2014, the
employee population collectively grew by 1.9% while the population of employees who
telecommute increased by 5.6%. (Analytics, G. W., 2017) These types of figures suggest that
telecommuting is becoming more common and sought after by employees.
This report will begin by describing the problem and purpose statements. A total of four
research questions will be introduced and answered under their own heading. The answers
will be presented through the results of related research and study conducted through online
journals, articles, and reports. Each question will be supported by verified sources of data
