Is our Nations Spending Reasonable?
The United States government has constantly been questioned by fellow politicians and
citizens on whether the country has been spending excessive amounts of money on weapons and
military focused actions. The controversial topic has become a major focus point on spending by
the officials who run the government. Some argue that other sectors and functions in the
government require attention and an increase in financial support. Others argue that the United
State defense is the most important issue in America and must be heavily supported in order to
keep Americans safe in the homeland. Other departments, for instance education, only receives a
very small fraction of money compared to the American military.
