Is art present in science? Provide examples.
Practically speaking, science is a form of creation and the purpose of it is to understand the world
and create within the world. Art, on the other hand, is a product of expression and expresses
imaginative skill. When we say creativity it involves imagination, and imagination is visualization
which is an art. So, I can say that, yes, art is present in science because the things we are able to
imagine in our mind are the things we can also create. Those two have a connection to each other.
Some of the greatest discoveries in science involved using some form of art. For example,
Photography, it was born from the marriage of science and the visual arts. The camera, which
creates art, also captures and teaches us scientific understandings. Aside from the fact that the
discovery of photographs was a scientific accident, the science part of photography are technique
and equipment while the artistic part of photography includes the photographer’s artistic goals, his
vision, inspiration and the use of art-related concepts. Photography is both science and art
simultaneously.
