After the collapse of Enron Corporation Congress passed the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of
2002. This was to safeguard investors in public companies and restore trust in the financial
markets. Team D chose the LAWSON v. FMR LLC. case to explain the governance principles
of regulatory compliance requirements using the IRAC brief method. In this paper Team D has
also provided the determined method for managing the legal risk arising from regulatory
compliance issues.
