“iPremier: Denial of Service Attack”
1. How well did iPremier perform during the 75-minute attack event? If you were
Bob Turley, what might you have done differently during the attack?
I would say that iPremier performed poorly during the attack on their
system. They were sorely unprepared for an assault of this magnitude. There was
no contingency plan after everyone realized they were being attacked. Because of
poor preparation in years prior, iPremier was only able to be reactive to the
situation. Ideally, the company should be able to be proactive to any intrusions to
the system. Along with no emergency plan to implement, or one that was so
outdated it was no help, there was no strategy of who needed to be contacted and
who needed to be communicating in such a situation. Everyone was interrupting
