Introductory Assignment
I recently graduated Baylor University with a Bachelors in Business Administration in
Accounting. I am a native Houstonian and my hobbies include playing soccer and
carpentry. I support the Houston Texans and Baylor Football.
My educational goals include completing my required courses to be eligible for my CPA
exam. After completing my CPA exam I will take a break from pursuing any higher
education goals. During my break I hope to regain inspiration to pursue and apply for a
Master’s in Business Administration program. In summary, my educational goals as of
now are to completer both my CPA exam and Master’s in Business Administration
program. My career goals include to begin working with PwC and establish my accounting
credentials. I want to gain tremendous amount of experience and expose myself to a niche
market in my assigned tax department. Furthermore, accounting is a profession that
requires the individual to gain an abundant amount of experience to be valuable, so I want
to invest my time to see my stock go up. At the same time I want to master the art of
balancing life and work.
My challenges for my educational and career goals are dependent on my financial
situation. As a first generation American and college graduate I am responsible for my own
financial challenges, which include not having enough money for my CPA exam. Also,
after working I do not know if my life situation will conflict with my application and
completing my MBA program. My challenges for this class are completing assignments on
time and managing my other courses.
