INTRODUCTION
Hello my name is Albert Sotelo, I am from Bolivia, I’ve been living in the USA for three years,
and I came here because my parents were already living here much longer than me, about fifteen
years, I even have a little sister who was born in here. I like soccer a lot, most of my free time I
spend watching soccer games that are usually on weekends, and also on weekends is when my
favorite team plays, Real Madrid from Spain. Since I was born in Bolivia and grew up mostly
with my grandparents for several years, I didn’t have those modern or new games like there are
nowadays, such as console games or Nintendo’s. I grew up playing soccer, I loved, and well I
still love it even though I don’t play it too much today. When I was little I used to play soccer
with my friends on the street every day, and when I entered to high school I became one of the
best soccer players in the school, that I was selected to play with the school and go to different
states to play a state tournament. I can say that I was doing well in my life even in my classes I
was a good student. However, one day my parents decided to take me to the USA, on the one
hand, I was happy because I could see them after several years and we were going to be together,
but on the other hand, I was a bit sad because I was going to leave everything, my friends, my
grandparents, uncles, cousins, my favorite sport. But I believe everything happens for a reason,
now I’m here in the USA looking for a good future for myself and my family. I’m a sophomore
at IPFW, my major is civil engineering. I chose this career because I like math a lot and solving
any problems involving numbers or equations. After I graduate I hope one day to work for a big
company and earn enough money so I can go to Bolivia and build a construction company, and
finally live my life.
