The Internet has changed business, education, government, healthcare, and even the way we
interact with our loved ones; it has become one of the main engines of social evolution. It changed
our Internet presence. It has revolutionized communication to the point where it is now our
preferred daily communication tool. We use the Internet in almost everything we do. Order pizza,
buy TV, share one minute with a friend, and send photos via instant message. If you wanted to keep
up with the news before the internet, you had to go to the newsagent when it opened in the
morning and get a local print describing what happened the day before. But today it takes just a click
or two to read your local newspaper and any news source from anywhere in the world in minutes.
The Covid-19 outbreak clearly showed us that the internet is no longer a luxury, it is not a
comfortable improvement in the lifestyle of those who can afford it. On the contrary, Internet access
has become a basic requirement. There is no single reason people don't use the internet; the causes
are numerous and interlinked. Cost, access, interests and skills are all important; moreover, its
relative importance varies according to the person and situation. Most non-users aren't interested in
being online. In fact, almost all non-user users point to a lack of interest as one of the reasons for
not being online. Retirees also say "not for people my age" as the main reason, but this sounds very
much like indifference. There is no evidence that they oppose, resist, or have restrictions on
accessing the Internet, but the Internet doesn't matter to them - they don't care. Nowadays, the
Internet has become an integral part of our lives as it has a multifaceted effect on our social
activities in every aspect of our daily life. Going to the bank every day to make cash transactions or
