Essay title: Do you think Climate Change is an example where countries can cooperate effectively?
Explain with case studies.
In the last few decades ,climatic changes have become a critical issue on the agenda. In reality,
climate-related problems can not be tackled by solely one state even if one of the most prominent
political and economic powers. Therefore ,countries around the world are ,of course, to go into
partnership in terms of combatting the issue prudently and effectively. Numerous projects involving
both highly prosperous and impoverished communities are being implemented worldwide so as to
minimize the negative consequences of human action on earth.
Take the efforts made by the EU Commission, they have already started to mitigate the tension
in ACP (African , Caribbean and Pacific) countries. More specifically, climate change has heavily
affected the production of agricultural crops ,livestock ,increased the desertification and caused the
overall health of the population to deteriorate. Accordingly, the EU took massive steps and
launched lots of long-term projects in the areas to aid those nations to maintain normal life and save
the biodiversity in those countries. However, further actions should ,of course, be taken to save the
animal world, natural beauties and improve the living of the population in those areas.
Further, It is absolutely noteworthy that UNFCCC (United Nations Framework on Climate
Change)has played a great part in international cooperation on climate change since it was first
launched in 1992, being augmented and updated by subsequent agreements, in particular, the 1997
Kyoto Protocol and the 2015 Paris agreement. Its primary objective is to stabilise greenhouse gas
effects including all the nations joined the United Nations. Every state is to make significant
contributions to reduce emissions as agreed under the Paris agreement, thus, meaning a great
chance to pass the healthier Earth down to next generations.
In conclusion, every state and nation must take their very first step to tackle the situation before
it is too late, considering unjustifiable human interference with climate change.
