After filling out the Skills Inventory activity I noticed a bit of a pattern. I had a lot of 4’s and 5’s.
When I compared the differences among the other scores, it showed my overall total for my
skills. I scored 29 for Technical Skills, 27 for Human Skills, and 15 for Conceptual Skills. The
interpretation showed my Technical Skills to be in the higher range, along with my Human Skills
showing in the high range as well. My Conceptual Skills however shown to be in the moderate
range.
I agree with the results of the skills assessment. After reviewing the graphs and the
management skills tables it makes sense. Skills needed for Supervisory Management are the
same results that I have. I also have a supervisor position at my place of employment. So it
accurately judged me as a leader and my leader skills that I currently have. It shows that having
high technical skills and human skills are required for supervisory positions for management
personnel, and that the conceptual skills are not as necessary.
