The worldwide population and the expansion of cities is growing and a lot of community leaders
are looking towards technology to improve living conditions for their citizens. One of the
revolutionary network which is helping is the Internet of Things (IoT). IoT is the network of
physical objects or things embedded with electronics, software, sensors and network connectivity
that enables these objects to collect and exchange data. (Turban, 2019). Smart cities are being
developed to utilize IoT which has already proven to be beneficial to communities throughout
the world. Some key benefits of smart are reduced environmental footprint, citizen and
government engagement, safer communities and much more. To get the benefits from IoT a lot
of data should be gathered. Some of this data could be potentially abuse. Data abuses is the
inappropriate use of data as defined when the data was initially collected. There are a lot of
example of data misused. What I notice every day when I browse social media or my favorite
platforms or try to buy something all of my interactions and interests are gather and in the future
on any website I open I can see the targeted promotions and ads. I can feel as somebody
