Leadership Project: Informal Leaders like Elijah
Introduction
For the last several weeks, we have consumed ourselves with Elijah as he went through hid
depression and how God pulled him out of it. There were many great leaders that came before
Elijah. David was the anointed king over Israel, because God wanted Judah and Israel to form a
united community after an experience of intense separation. It is said that David was a, “Man
after God’s own heart,” which describes his ability and success of a shepherd, serving the people,
and leading them in worship to God. The purpose of this essay is to thoroughly examine how
Elijah’s circumstances and accomplishments also made him aggressively try which then his mind
and body resorted to informal leadership capabilities.
