Programing is a set of instructions given to a computer program of inputs, outputs, order,
making decisions, repetition that tell a computer what to do. Programming has three parts sequences,
decision making and repetition (Ebrahimi) p1. Programing can also be de ned as the translation of a
systems design speci cations into computer code. (Rainer, Turban, Po$er). An example of programing is
a virus. A virus is a program that can infect other programs or data stored in a le and can destroy.
Viruses can also act as real websites and collect sensitive information such as credit card numbers, social
security numbers, bank information and so forth. (Ebrahimi) p2. From reading chapter one of The
Computer Boys take over by Nathan L. Ensmenger further supports the importance of programming in
the world from the 1950’s on and how as time is progressing programming is becoming more and more
important to managers throughout the years because having the ability to understand errors, reports,
recovery of lost data and x problems makes you an asset and you have less competition.
