Industry Analysis: Ford Motor Company
Car makers such as General Motors, Ford, and Chrysler have been sparking headlines in
the past few years over disappointing safety results, recalls, and sales. While it’s true that these
Big Three automakers have had to cut costs and redevelop their strategy, the automotive industry
remains a significant contributor to the United States’ economy and has begun to climb back
from the difficult challenges they have faced in recent years. Ford has also announced that they
plan to start pumping more money into designing all new vehicles such as the F-Series trucks.
And although sales are lower than they were in the early 2000’s, they are slowing rising as the
economy continues to rise.
