Abstract
I want to become an Emergency Room Nurse. As a nurse, I would quickly treat patients in all
emergency situations, whether they are experiencing trauma or injury. I would monitor the
patient after they were admitted to the ER. As a nurse I would assess the level of care needed
until they were seen by a doctor. As a nurse, I would be working in a fast paced environment and
would need to be quick on my feet. These assessments help me to determine what areas I am
strong in and what areas I need to work on.

Are You Introverted or Extrovert?
1. The purpose of this assessment is to estimate the extent to which I am introverted or
extroverted.
2. 12 (A) 11 (B) =23
3. My score suggests that I have tendencies in both introversion and extroversion. This
means that I get my energy from both the outer and internal world. Outer means I can get
my energy from people and things around, whereas internal means I would feel
comfortable being alone.
4. With my results of this assessment, I can determine what areas I would best be suited.
Nursing is my goal, and my scores are in line with what I want to accomplish. As an
extrovert, I would need to be comfortable around people, be outgoing and assertive.
Working in a fast paced environment such as the emergency room, I would need to be
comfortable talking to patients and/or family members. “Introverts are more inclined to
direct their interests to ideas than to social events” (McShane & Von Glinow 2014 p.41).

INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
1. The purpose of this assessment is to estimate of my need strength on selected secondary
needs.
2. Need for achievement: 16
Need for social approval: 14
3. After scoring my results I fall slightly higher in need for achievement, both of my scores
fall under average. Those with a need for achievement, “want to accomplish reasonably
challenging goals through their own effort. They prefer to work alone and choose tasks
with a moderate degree of risk” (McShane & Von Glinow, 2014 p.129). I set personal
goals and I have that drive I do not want to stop until I accomplish them.
4. The results of my assessment demonstrate how I can better accomplish my goals as a
nurse. Even though I scored in the average range in need for achievement, I have been
