✓ Introduction- description of the national culture of your choice and
reasons for choosing it.
✓ Entry One: preparation for entering the culture – reading about it
(websites, books, journals etc.), contacting people and collecting
information. This should include your expectations about the culture
based on your preparation.
✓ Entry Two: gaining entry – how you did it. Contact person, how
contacted, permission, etc. You should write in story telling approach.
✓ Entry Three: description of the experience and the main cultural
differences you experienced. Description of what “culture shock” if
any, you experienced, your reactions to it, and how you adapted. You
may include the comparison between the visited national cultures with
yours. You also can explain in term of 3 factors in culture:
o General Factors – food, clothing. Transportation system, weather
o Interaction Factors – language used in daily conversation, voice tone
(soft spoken/loud voice)
