Abstract
ACCOUNTING
In this paper, readers will gain knowledge about the different types of accountants. The
readers will understand the different types of accountants with the type of degree they have
acquired. Readers should be able to see the difference in the jobs with the type of degree.
Readers will gain knowledge on the job description and few tasks that the accountants perform.
The reader will see the average salary of each accountant. The reader will also learn about the
Certified Public exam, what the requirements are, and the layout of the exam.
When most people think about accounting the first thing that comes to mind is the math
required. In most cases, math is not most people’s favorite subject. When people discover

accounting they do not consider this field because of the critical thinking and the math required
in the field. Once people find an interest in the field they notice the math is not too bad.
Accountant’s work on average about forty hours a week, except when it is tax season they can
work up to sixty hours. Accountant’s salary and job they can perform depends on the education
level they have acquired. The most common degrees accountants have are associates and
bachelor’s degree. Most accountants with a bachelor’s degree try to take the Uniform Certified
Public Accountant Examination but do not pass because the difficulty in the four part exam.
Since the exam is complicated most accountants do not further their education after a four-year
degree. In this paper, readers will be able to analyze the types of accountant within the degree,
the salary and the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Exam.
