Computer application are playing an important role in medical and healthcare. With digitization, for
the most part, all medical and healthcare works use computers. Such as, able to hold all of patients’
information by using computer, using computer to transmit orders to other departments and in
patient care, computer application also can help the doctors to conduct various surgeries, used to
perform research in the health sector, used in many of the diagnostic tests etc. No matter now or in
the further, with using computer application, medical and healthcare has been work smoother and
easier.
There are a few uses of computer applications in medical and healthcare. Firstly, Computer-assisted
surgery (CAS), it is also known as computer-aided surgery. Computer-assisted surgery represents a
surgical concept and set of methods, it is use for surgical planning, and for guiding or performing
surgical interventions. CAS is a great way to have surgery done. The advantages of CAS are having
smaller incisions and as well as quicker recovery time. But it has a most important limitation of this
way that is unable to determine the tumor margin. Because of this reason, there may require many
changes in the operating room if doctor and patient planning surgery by using CAS. (Columbia
