There have been a multitude of ethnic groups that live in the United States, and many
different groups coexist in a society. Even though violence and discrimination may still exist, it
does not take away that there has been marked progress towards the assimilation and the
education for tolerance towards many other ethnicities. For one group of immigrants, Chinese
Americans have felt the persecution for many years, and they have learned to adapt to laws and
