Presently, illegal immigration is one of the most debated subjects in
the United States. It is so controversial that many don’t know how to deal
with the massive amount of illegals in the country. Many Americans believe
that illegal immigrants hurt the U.S. economy. There are many anti-
immigrant groups that claim that illegals are stealing jobs and using
benefit from U.S citizens, while not contributing to taxes and social
security. Those claims support the idea that illegal immigrants have a
negative impact on the U.S economy.
Although it is impossible to deny that illegal immigrants have some
kind of negative influence in the U.S. economy, I believe that they do
provide many benefit. These benefit are so great they outweigh the
negative impact. One bene(t they can provide is taking on low paying jobs
that legal Americans don’t want to do. Every illegal immigrant that is
working for an employer that pays them a payroll check is contributing to
taxes and social security to the government. In addition, illegal immigrants
are major consumers; they purchase goods and services in the United
States just as much as any American. While many think that illegal
