Working with all the auxiliary teachers is the only way to create an effective learning
plan for those “special” students. Every child learns differently and that should be taken into
consideration when creating your lesson plans. When working with the special education
teacher or the speech pathologist, their opinions and their lesson plans for their individual
students should be worked into your lesson plans. As a grade teacher, you are not the students
only educational benefit as, they also benefit from working with other teachers as well. Those
teachers help them learn in their own way, and help them overcome their disability so that they
can learn at a pace to be successful.
I interviewed a teacher from Oak Grove High School that teaches sixth grade. She works
with many teachers at her school so that she can maximize her students learning ability. Their
