Medina, Ace M.
President
Being a SSG president is not that easy to handle, you must be
capable enough to do the things that is in stored for you in the future. It is not
the typical job that everyone is looking for, because they knew that it would
take a lot of sacrifices, hardships, pains and many more. Everyone wants
change in their campuses, but not everyone is willing to do it, but I’m one of
those 109 millions of Filipinos that is capable enough and willing to stand up and
make the change in the campus.
A lot of students nowadays suffers from anxieties,
depressions, bullying, broken relationship, family problems, and many more. This
is quite an alarming stage for us, isn’t? Because of these things, students are
seeking happiness and purpose in their personal lives. There are a lot of students
who are taking their lives because of these sufferings. Do you know, 11.6% of
high school students committed suicide, and 16.8% of high school students
attempted to do suicide. We need to wake up, we need to step up! we are the
future of this world
As a person who is running for SSG president, I wanted to
make an impact to the lives of students. I wanted to influenced the people who
is looking up to me, I wanted to help them succeed in this life that is full of
hardship, trials and pains. I wanted to lead them the way they should be
leaded, as a leader who will influence them, I first have to believed in myself so
that they can also believe to themselves. I always believe on what Dr. Jose Rizal
said, “Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng ating bayan! ” but I also liked and
agreed on what our pastor said in one of his preachings, Ang kabataan na
may takot sa Diyos ang pag-asa ng ating bayan!” Pastor Bong Saquing. In this
life world that is full of sin we need a God who will rescues us from our sins.
If I will win as a SSG president, I would use my voice to
influence the campus, I will use all of my privileges to help the students in my
campus to be an effective students of our school. I always believed that the
voice of this generation is loud enough to fight for their rights, and I’m willing to
give my full best to become an effective and sufficient SSG president. I guess
this is the first time that you will hear this, but I always believe that if the person is
doing something that is not in his heart, he won’t be effective on doing it. My
heart is in the campus, this is what God has called me to do, to lead the
students in the right path.
Since elementary up into present, I was already involved to student council, and
I know that through those years, I have learned a lot of things that I can use to
be an effective and wise SSG president. Balancing academics and SSG life
would be a tough one, knowing the struggles that I’ve experienced before. It
would be a hard one, but I know one thing is for sure, that God will be with me
all throughout the battle the He gave me.
I have so much experienced when it comes into leadership
and conferences, I’m part of a movement called ELEVATE that is a nationwide
student movement which aims to take students to the next LEVEL! We desire for
every student to experience a Life Empowered through Values Excellence and
Leadership! Not just that, I was also sent by our school to attend different kinds of
seminars and leadership trainings. I was sent to different places like, Intramuros,
Batangas, Quezon City, Taguig and more to come soon!
I’ve learned a lot of things from these experiences, and I just don’t want to keep
all of these learnings from myself. I also want to share these things to students in
our campus, because I know that they can also apply it in their own personal
lives. This is also one of the reasons why I run as SSG president, because If all of
these learnings work for me, how much more it will work to them! I’m so excited
on what the Lord has in stored for me in the near future!
Through all of those things that I’ve experienced, from happy
part to sad part, I know that those things mold me for who I am right now. I
thank the Lord for all of these things that I’ve experienced, because from these
ups and downs, now I know what these generation really needs. So in
conclusion, I’ve based my platforms from what the students really needs.
First is #NotAlone, through #NotAlone this platforms aims to
enhance the capacities of the youth to become future leaders and influencers
of their schools, families, and communities; and see vast improvements in their
social, emotion, physical, and spiritual well-being. It also aims to address the
most pressing issue that the young generation are faced with such as
depression, suicide, bullying, addiction, abuse and more. If this platforms of mine
gets implemented, I know that their will be numbers of students who’s lives will
be change.
My next platform is #TeamBayan, #TeamBayan aims to
address problems of the youth today, e.g. teenage pregnancy, HIV, illegal
drugs, Aids and many more. By the help of #TeamBayan we would campaign
and spread awareness to different classrooms in our school. It would be a great
help for our school because it will lower down rates of certain problems that our
school is facing right now.
My goal is to make an impact to the lives of the students in
our campus by sparking the fire in their hearts. I want to make a difference by
influencing to the lives of one another. Because I always believed that all of us
are the future leaders of this world. It’s time to make an impact, it’s time to make
a difference. It’s time to voice out what is true. Again, I’m Ace M. Medina
running President of ALAB Party List
Amanda Ciacico Vice President
Strategy, brains, being responsible and time management. Those are some of
the qualities that a student should have if they want to be part of this
organization. It is a huge responsibility to hold on because it is not just one room
but a responsibility in the whole school. Am I ready to handle it again? Do I have
the qualities mentioned to qualify for this organization?
I was a part of the Supreme Student Government when I was grade 7&8. All the
plans or actions was based on our president. We are all leaders at the same
time followers but, I admit that those time I’m just a follower. I never contributed
my thoughts because I had a great deal of respect for those in the higher
positions. I know that they are not in their position to make bad decisions for our
school. But I don’t regret it, maybe because I can say that I’ve been responsible
from following them. So now that I am running in this position, I will still continue
to obey but this time, with leadership. And also, one of my favors is to seek the
opinions of others because I know that those who placed in the higher positions,
they are not just the one who have the “good intentions” to everyone. I know all
of them have. We are here as one, and we are all want a change the reason
why we are running in this organization.
The reason why I join again is that I want to show my schoolmates that they
should not be in the habit of disrespecting their fellow students. I want them to
have respect on each other. They are either in high or low class. Because I saw
that most often problem of SSG officers is that students do not obey or
disrespecting them, for example during recess. When they asked to slow down,
they will not pay attention to you, when you were talking to them they just kept
going as if they were no longer acknowledging who and what SSG was. Yes,
SSG does more than just guard the stairs, block them every meal time, ask why
there are no IDs’ and why their uniform does not have a patch. There is much
more SSG can do. But in this regard we can show that LPENHS students can be
responsible. We can lead them to do right things by obeying. This type of action
is not easy to do for my fellow students because I know that everyone has a
different thought. But if we convey what we want to happen, everyone will
have the same goal and that is to have a good school with all role model
students.
“It won’t be easy for me, I’m a weak person and I’m unsure if I deserve this
position. I couldn’t even promise myself what I could do when my education
and duties were in conflict.” That’s what I told myself when I didn’t run last year.
Grade 9 is starting to get more work done in academics. And I was right, I didn’t
make it at first because I’m this kind of a person who can’t keep up with things.
The result was I made the right decision, right that I didn’t leave a word if I knew I
couldn’t do it. Now that I am running as a Vice President, I will always prove
myself that I can do this. I am now confident to face all the big responsibilities. I
can now say that I’m not afraid nor weak to be the part of this organization for
the last time. Being in a 9th grade and incoming grade 10 is still hard but I am
now brave enough to handle this and manage my time. Again, I am Amanda
Ciacico confidently running for the position of Vice President.
Aldrin Jared S. Delos Santos Secretary
“Act as if you had all the confidence you require until it becomes your reality.”
I want to be honest to myself and to the others as well , I am weak and nervous
at all times. I dont have enough confidence to face all the trials that I may
encounter in the future. What I will do next is to close my eyes , pray and do
what I can. Then , when I lit up my eyes again , 100% sure that my whole being
will be astound and amaze because I made it! I finish the task! I won the battle!
I may be weak , I may lose all the confidence I have , but I have my faith. My
Faith to Jesus Christ can defeat and save all things from the shadows of dark to
the safetest place we can ever gone.
Most of the students in our school , Las Piñas East National High School are
perfectly quite. Not the one that are speaking very limitedly , but the one who is
quite of what they actually feel and what they are facing at the present time. In
the past few years , I was that person or student rather. I’m quite of what I feel
because I’m afraid that other people may not understand my situation. A small
student that can’t get out from the darkness of bullying. I tried to commit suicide
just to escape the depression and end the pain but with the use of my friends ,
God introduces Himself to me and I gladly accepted Him.
As a Candidate of the Supreme Student Government Election 2020 , I want also
my fellow students to learn how to Accept God and to know His unbounded,
limitless and overflowing love for all of us.
Having my visions for the school does’nt make me forget my responsibilities as a
Candidate for the position of Secretary. A responsible SSG Secretary should
always keep accurate records for the minutes and documents provided during
meetings. He/ She needs to provide documentations and reports to implement
the projects or on-going projects inside the school. Also ,SSG Secretary should
always obey the orders and of course, stand as a leader with or without having
the highest position.
I built all of my visions as a normal student and being SSG Secretary is a good
opportunity to fulfill all of it. Serve securities to my fellow students ,make them
happy and excited everyday going in school, bringing back the energy of it
and also ,introducing God to the students can really give a big impact to all of
them.
I, Aldrin Delos Santos , promises to give big impact to each and everyone in the
campus of Las Piñas East National High School. (467) Being famous is such a
childish thing nor reason why some students want to run as an SSG Officer. I
think, they can’t yet see the beautiful purpose why the Supreme Student
Government were built and I wanted to show that to them even if I did’nt win
the position of what I am running
J uliana Cassandra Joson Treasurer
They say, everything has its own reasons, why it happened, and why it existed.
They say, things as well as people, do enter your life to bring you lesson, and to
cause you changes. And I say, we existed for a change. Have you noticed
each generations? From finest, to fine. From healthy, to unhealthy. From best, to
good. A lot of things changed, as well as our environment. Each people who
came from different generations, contributed a lot of changes in our world. And
we are one of those people, who let our world change. Take a look at the sky,
take a look at our surroundings. Do you think it’s too late for us to make a
change? No. And that is my reason, your reason, and our reason, why we
existed. Together, let’s make a change. I’ve been an officer, before. There were
a lot of things that used to make me feel stress, tired, and more.
But, those did not become an excuse, for me to give up my work, and just forget
about the job, that I needed to do. Knowing that I am a regular student, who
joined an extracurricular activity, still, I won’t forget that whatever happens,
academics will always be academics. I have my tasks as an SSG officer, but I still
have my priorities with me. Time management is the right term to consider, for
me, for you, and for us to fulfill the goals and tasks that are needed, as a
student, and as an officer. As an officer, and as a regular student rather, I also
have things to do, which isn’t just for me, and for my school. But also, for the
whole place where I belong. Ever since, I always overlook the poverty of each
people, and each places. I used to feel how poor things, environment, and
people are, at any aspects. In just one look, you can see how exhausted their
eyes are, just by doing things that’ll help them survive, for that certain day of
their lives.
And with the thought and will of wanting to help people, I was once a
volunteer of a certain outside organization, which has the goal of going to
different places, just to help people. I also helped some scavengers staying at
the sidewalks, by giving them food to eat, and clothes to wear. I did provide a
certain person’s fair, for her to go home to her own province, by giving her the
half of my weekly allowance. Those were part of my outside activities. About
that school activities where I helped some students, well, I did help some of
them by giving them things, which can help them with their academics, and
more. I also helped them, by sharing my knowledge to them, so that it won’t be
that hard for them to cope up, and learn some things, academically or not.
‘Cause I do believe, to be successful in life, isn’t about stepping others, just for
you to be on top. It is about holding the hand of others, and slowly reach the
top of your goals. Not just by yourself, but also with them. Let yourself reach your
destination, with you as the driver, and with them as the passengers. I have a lot
of goals in this school, where we are all staying at.
Goals that isn’t just for me, but also for everyone. Students aren’t all the same.
They all have a lot of differences, whether those were negative or positive ones.
But, in each goals that I wanted for them and for all of us, there will always be a
certain reason for it. It is to make them as one, and forget about the differences,
that each student have. We stay at one place, we were known as one name,
we are one. Differences, no more. Let this opportunity bring us to the place,
where no one is above the other. Improvement is the key, to students’ unknown
identities.
Agumbay, Shaquel C. Auditor
The reason why I joined this organization is for change because we know that
many students are looking forward for a change of our school and I am one of
those dreamers. That expect to have a change in our school because for me
the votes of the students are wasted because they didn’t notice any changes
and for me I want to erase it to their minds because I want to prove them that
they will see a change. Yes, I am just an ordinary student but I want to tell
everyone that they can trust me. I will make sure that there will be a change in
our school. I will follow the rules and I will be responsible in my duties and if there
are some activities in school like Brigada Eskwela I will attend and I will help as
long as I can. I will also teach some students how to be not greedy, because a
lot of students now likes to not give something that people need. I will teach
them not to fight, but to talk properly to each other. Because a lot of students
now likes to fight all the time and it’s not nice. So I will influence my fellow
students to be a nice influence too to others.
I will balance my academics and as a SSG member by Time Management. I will
be wise at my schedule and I will take down notes the important things to do. I’ll
make sure that I will finish my assignments first before sleeping and of course I will
not forget to wake up early so that I can go to school early as possible. I do not
see some problem at all in my academics and of course in my daily life. Let’s
make some Example, when we have some occasion in the house but I must go
early in the school of course I must go in school because this situation makes me
relate but my family understand me.
I’ve done a lot of nice things inside and outside school. Like when I saw
someone who’s throwing his/her garbage anywhere, I’ll just throw it myself.
Because it’s important to throw trash in the right trash can to avoid flooding.
And I am recycling some plastic bottles so that I can help our environment. And
giving some hungry kids some food and water so that they can eat. When I give
people such things I am not waiting for a return.
I notice a lot of things in our school like how plants reduce. The school looks
more clear and wide. Unlike before the school is crowded by plants and it looks
so dirty to look at. And when the DPWH Building was build the school looks
bigger and nicer. My goal at school is to have some activities that students will
also like, and I will make also some good programs that students will also like. All
of this are written by my preference for our school. And I will assure you that all
that are written here will happen. This will be the end of my essay.
Mangali, Patricia Kirsten Peace Officer
I want to be a member of Supreme Student Government because I
want to help the students, our school to improve and also myself. I want to be
part of those officers to lead the students in the right path. By joining the
Supreme Student Government I know that I can improve myself to be a leader
that is good and responsible enough to handle the different situation that a
leader can encounter. I have experienced to join this organization and it was
fun and before I’m not comfortable to show myself in front of many people, I
always feel so shy and I don’t have the courage to speak in front of the students
because I feel like I’m going to make a mistake and people around will judge
me, but when I started to join this organization I know that it helped me a lot to
improve my self-confidence.
I will balance my academic and SSG Officer life by knowing my time
limits. Sometimes we students forget about the things that we need to prioritize
when we started to hold our phones and only then we realized that we’re
wasting so much time using our gadgets instead of doing the we need to finish,
but of course before I made my decision to commit in this kind of responsibility, I
do make sure that I am informed regarding to the works and things to do as an
SSG Officer, that I can manage my time because I will not join this organization if
