Introduction
ATTENTION GETTER:
It’s remarkable to notice that the world is surrounded by AI, even if it can’t always be seen,
but is it ever trustworthy? It was an early morning where the sun had yet to shine when
50-year old, father of four, Jeremy Banner, began using his Tesla autopilot. His car was
traveling at around 70 miles per hour and he was not paying attention to the road. He then
slammed into a semi-truck, ripping the top of his Tesla off. He was killed on impact. This is
just one of many cases across the world where AI is used and the outcome is fatal. This
information was (Thadani et al., 2023).
PURPOSE (state specific purpose, relate topic to audience and establish credibility):
In today’s day and age there have been incredible technological advancements, AI being one
of them. There are so many uses for AI with almost everything we do. For instance, we can
have AI drive our cars, write essays, create art, invest, find trends, translate in real-time, and
maybe the biggest one of all, it can learn. All these sound like positives, but in reality, we
don’t know how or why it does these things. AI surrounds us in the world today, even when
we don’t realize that it is there. AI is an unknown realm that we don’t know much about, and
because of this, AI contains risk when you use it. I hope you will listen to my speech and
learn about the risks and dangers of using AI.
STATE THESIS & MAIN POINTS:
AI uses personal data, sometimes without permission, is vulnerable to security breaches and
compromises, makes mistakes, and the world doesn’t even know how it works.

2-3 MAIN POINTS PREFERRED USE ONLY COMPLETE SENTENCES
I. MAIN POINT (state as a single declarative sentence): Chat GPT is one of the most well
known forms of AI in the world. Although there are some things that are not known about
AI. One of them is that they have had a lawsuit filed against them for the theft of personal
data, including medical records and information about children (Dean, 2023).
A. SUBPOINT: We don’t know much about AI but we know that it uses personal data
to make decisions.
1. AI does this by analyzing personal data of behaviors from people all over America and
