Hydropower Speech
Thank you all for being here, your warm welcome, and friendly support. I know you are here
because our country has come to a crossroad. In fact, it’s the most critical election of our
lifetime. You have to choose whether our society makes a U–turn or moves forward to a great
future and prosperity. It’s up to us, whether we change the existing energy production of our
country or not. Loads of issues divide us into small confronting groups. But I would rather
focus on the common grounds that we all share and need to cultivate. Hydropower plants are
the main significant generators that can dispatch capacity to the network promptly when all other
vitality sources are blocked off, they give fundamental back-up control during significant power
interruptions, for example, the 2003 power outage. An expected 50 million individuals living in
states from New York to Michigan were influenced by the power outage, yet hydropower offices
in New York and somewhere else, similar to the Niagara and St. Lawrence-FDR plants, worked
constantly through the power outage and reestablished capacity to a great many Americans.
Hydro is creating power in each area of the nation and is America‘s biggest wellspring of
spotless, sustainable power. Hydropower represents 52 percent of the country’s inexhaustible
twilight into the bright sunshine so that we can all see the dawn of a new day.
