Human vs Robots: What the Future Holds
With the development of new technologies, the fear of being replaced by robots is a
worldwide concern. But is there any reason to be afraid? The fear of being replaced by a machine
begins with the consolidation of industries, in the early nineteenth century, when workers
organized to end the machines, considered responsible for layoffs and bad wages. This fear of
technology increases with its progress and development of artificial intelligence. It is estimated

A new report released by the Pew Research Center compiles the views of 1,800
academics and industry, work and new technology experts on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and
robotics. Many consider that by 2025 robots will take up the work of many of us, the impact it
will have on society has generated quite different opinions. Half believe that the machines will
hog most jobs by 2025, and not just manuals; while the other half believe that the robots will
help create more jobs than it will take away.
