Introduction (brief explanation of Russian human rights’ status quo):
Russia goes with another formal name officially known as the Russian Federation. It
is a vastly enormous country located and positioned in the middle of Europe and
Asia that is known as Eurasia. The vast land that belongs to Russia according to
NationsEncyclopedia is approximately worth “a total area of 17,075,200 kilometres”
(Nations Encyclopaedia, 2018) which “covers about one-eighth of the world's land
surface. Also Russia is 60 percent larger than the world's second-largest country,
Canada” (Nations Encyclopaedia, 2018). Russia is one of the biggest countries in
terms of population and is recognized as the ‘ninth most populous’ nation throughout
the globe expected to encompass around 144 million people till the end of mid-2016.
The estimation in regard with the urban population of Russians is estimated to be
around 77% of the whole population who live in the industrialized parts of the country
who are mostly located in the Western European part of Russia instead of the
Eastern-Asian side of the country. Moreover, after the collapse of USSR/Soviet
Union, Russia officially became the vastest country that was created out of the
former USSR that occurred in December, 1991 yet right after when “constitutional
crisis in 1993, Russia adopted a new constitution in a referendum of December
1993” (Darlington, 2018) that portrays Russia as “a federal presidential republic”
(Darlington, 2018). The most important element in relation with the newly drafted
constitution of Russian Federation that came into effect in 1993 is the unbelievable
degree of strength and legitimacy it issues for the president of Russia: “the President
has broad authority to issue decrees and directives that have the force of law without
legislative review” (Darlington, 2018).
In terms of practicality of the President’s degree of power and how realistic it is what
is given to him, the most important presidential power that is given to him is the fact
that he could implement many crucial decision-makings in regard with the crucial

task of appointing his governmental cabinets’ positions with no interference from any
institutional power involved. It is estimated that the size of the Presidential
apparatus in Moscow and the localities is more than 75,000 people, most of them
employees of state-owned enterprises directly under Presidential control”
(Darlington, 2018).
Geographically speaking, Russian borders are positioned with a lot of different
countries’ borders that amounts up to sixteen states. Russian land is also very
popular with its maritime borders because its sea borders are very close to two
Western powerful countries such as United States and Japan. Apart from the
maritime borders, the Russian Federation holds a stretched out ground frontier that
is approximately calculated to be around the length of “20,200 kilometres”
(Darlington, 2018). This fact enables the Russian Federation to possess the second
longest ground frontier, and not the first because of the lengthier land borders that
China has. Another unique argument about Russian lengthy borderline is the fact
that the Russian Federation is single-handedly the most shared frontier with other
nations’ borders because its ground and land borders with 14 significant countries in
