4:00 AM. That’s what the bed side clock displayed as Rajiv tiptoed out of his bed. A
plentiful of thoughts running in his mind, Rajiv briskly moved towards the study table,
switched on the reading lamp and opened his laptop. His mail box showed no new mails
and that meant the travelling plan has not been altered. Rajiv was all geared to make that
dreaded presentation and so ran a check on everything for one last time. After helping
himself with a light breakfast Rajiv reached office by 7AM a good 90 Minutes before his
normal schedule. The day will be hectic and he has to ensure nothing goes wrong.
Settling down with a mug of instant coffee, scenes played before his eyes like a flashback
movie. It was 13 months ago when Mr. Park had taken over as Managing Director of
Vonkumho Electronics India Operations (VEIO); the business was taking its usual course.
The employees gave a warm welcome to the new MD and were all geared be part of the
next phase of growth story at VEIO. The expectation from the new management was high.
The past few months were really tough and suddenly it felt like things were slipping out of
