Introduction
Is there anything that you used to do in your youth? Even if and when you knew it was bad
for you? Did you think because you were or are young, everything will be okay in the end?
Thinking it was just a phase and we all have our fun at one point in time. Well, what if
there’s no turning back? What if that faze was something you would never be able to
escape from; be it by addiction, disease, or even death. This paper will be chronicling the
evolution of my thought process as it pertained to cigarettes. Now, as far as I am
concerned, why should you take more years off your life for no apparent reason?
At first, I used to think that cigarettes were cool and that you look cool while smoking
them. Growing up, my I always saw people smoking and it looked really cool. The way
that the smoke would raise, it made me want to try and see what the deal was with it. Also,
some people could do tricks with the smoke and made it look even more appealing. Not
only did I see people around me smoking, I realized that even though people said it was
dangerous, all the people I saw smoking looked perfectly fine and were able to do all the
stuff I was.

Also, in high school, it was cool to do with your friends because they were doing it as well.
