•The nickelodeons started out as being humble, of their early films, almost all was
realistic sequences which captured the daily life of society, such as the marching of
policemen in parades, or workers coming out of their factories after a day’s work.
Later on, daring scenes have also been filmed which included a woman undressing
her street clothes changing into her burlesque costume, or a man and a woman
kissing. From this point, films began to tell a story, at least an hour long and
included many genre. Censorship clashed with a few of the nickelodeons’ films as
they dealt with bad languages, obscene features, and violence.
•Based on the review, the film was a weak comedic romance about a modern-day
Cinderella. Due to the “all-star” cast, the easy-going script that offers no challenges
or twists was bearable. At the center, was Audrey Hepburn, due to the descriptive
compliments that he gives her, it made this actress stands out more than any other
characters. This also sparks up the idea of “stars” which brings in the audience due
to their charms for physical attribute. Even though, one must know that a movie is
uninteresting, what can bring them in is the sight of their favorite or desired actors
or actresses.
•Slezak was talking about how cruel and bitter when a man is bewitched by the
essence of a woman. It will be fatal for the man eventually as he struggle to
comprehend reality, and is prone to suffering as death was a better option than to be
fallen under a woman’s spell. Disastrous consequences will hammer upon him to
the point where only God’s mercy would only put him at peace.
