Equality Discrimination
Nike is an organization that is well-known for its athletic products such as apparel and
footwear. It has endorsed famous athletes such as Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods. This is a
highly successful organization; however, its workplace ethics are under scrutiny regarding
discrimination. Equality and gender discriminations are the main debate for their lawsuit with
claims of sexual harassment as well as hostile work environment.
Human rights are based on a just universal morality, a standard of fairness that is
accounted by everyone. Evan Clark brings to attention that discrimination still exists, especially
for two former Nike employees – Kelly Cahill and Sara Johnston. Their internal survey portrays
a hostile work environment for women filled with sexual harassment, inequality and gender
discrimination on a daily basis. However, Nike denies all claims of discrimination (Clark).
