STUDY QUESTIONS
1. Logically possible ideas abide by the laws of thought, by which they’re not
contradictory, are identical to themselves, and everything either has or lacks. Physically
possible ideas are those that don’t violate the laws of physics/science. For example, a cow
jumping over the moon is physically impossible, but not logically impossible.
2. Extrasensory perception isn’t contradictory; therefore it’s not logically impossible.
3. ESP violates the law of conservation of energy, as well as the principle of casualty,
making it physically impossible.
4. No, because miracles by definition violate natural law. Lack of knowledge of
something doesn’t conclude that it is supernatural.
5. No, it isn’t reasonable to believe that aliens have visited Earth solely on the fact that it
can’t be proven. Just because it hasn’t been refuted, doesn’t make it true.
