“How the steel was Tempered” Analysis
“How the steel was Tempered” was a novel written by Nicolai Ostrovsky in 1933,
telling a story of Paul Korchagin grew up from a young boy to a loyal soldier, then
became blind but still kept writing novels. Paul’s spirit was as strong as steel. I
learned from his good quality life, to be positive, for disease, to struggle against, and
for work, to be unremitting.
Initially, when Paul was a young boy, his life was poor and dark. Paul‘s teachers
and classmates discriminated Paul and treated him unfairly. He saw many dark sides
