“How General Washington Inspired the Continental Army to Win the War.”
We choose General Washington as our leader because he was an experienced leader
already. We chose him because we knew he was daring, he’d do anything to win this war.
We knew he was a compassionate leader towards his troops. We choose him to unite the
southern colonies with the rest of the colonies. He believed the cause of freedom. We
choose him because the fact he fought in previous wars. General Washington was a good
planner.
General Washington influenced us at the battle at Trenton. We told him that our guns were
too wet to fire and he influenced us to use the bayonettes instead. This action indicated that
he’d do anything to win. Another way General Washington had influenced people is after
the battle at Yorktown, Virginia. When we won, people from South America started
revolting against European rule.
What decisions from General Washington lead us to victory? One way he led us to victory
was when he let the African Americans fight in the war. The only reason the African
Americans started joining the war so they can be set free. Another action was when the
French joined allies with them. The reason the French joined the war was because the
British and the French were not good friends. Another reason is when he changed of
strategy/ plan. Our General Washington picked to start playing defense so they can tire out
the British so they attack them when the time is right.
