POVERTY IN AMERICA
Poverty is a big problem in America today it affects millions of Americans across the
United States. Many of us see homeless people on the street corners of our cities every day. A lot
of people have posed ideas on how to end poverty in America some of them have even put plans
into action but still there is a steady rise in poverty across the U.S. Today we will be discussing
some ways to possibly lower or even put an end to poverty in the U.S.
There are two different types of poverty the first is Relative poverty “which happens
when income is a certain percentage less than the average income and the second is Absolute
poverty which takes place when income is below a certain level necessary to maintain a
minimum standard of living (e.g. enough money to buy the basic necessities of food, shelter and
