How a Particular Event Made You Grow Up
The year is 2006 and social media, along with the internet, is starting to change almost
every aspect of our daily lives. At the time, I was a junior student at my high school and all that
my mind could think about was senior year. Unfortunately, my spring semester had barely
started and the summer appeared to be a distant future. Growing up as a Mexican-American
outside of the U.S. can be considered a gift, but at the same time could be regarded as a curse. In
