Horses and the Rules of the Road
The article, Rules of the Road, tells about an accident with a vehicle and a horse and rider
and goes on to tell of the laws regarding vehicles and cars. A man, Lincoln Geist, struck a horse
and its rider on a rural road, slowed, and then left. He left the rider with a fractured pelvis and the
horse suffered internal injuries that lead to it being euthanized on the scene. He later contacted
the police once he arrived home and was charged with a Class B felony for leaving the scene of
an accident.
