Every human being in the world has their rights to live, human is the smartness
animal, and they don’t deserve living without a shelter like the other animal does. But
that’s the problem, homelessness is affecting the society and bringing people down, each
time when you are walking on the street at a relentless cold night, and you see homeless
people trembling in the cold and asking for a change, it’s devastating. According to
National Alliance to End Homelessness, in the United State, 636,017 people were
vagrant, they don’t have a home to stay. (End Homelessness). Homelessness could cause
a lot of issues and disadvantage towards the society and the citizen, and no doubt, they
should be helped. Homeless people in the United State have been a long-term problem
the government should take immediate action to climate homelessness as much as
possible.
Homelessness is when a person in a condition that doesn’t have a regular
residence. (Kraljic, 5). Based on estimates, 100 million people in the world and 700,000
people in the United States were suffering homeless condition and cannot maintain a safe,
secure and adequate housing especially at nighttime. (Federal Definition Of Homeless).
In the economic perspective, homeless is cause by poverty or unemployment and also
expensive housing that leads to a person being unable to afford an adequate shelter. The
reason for homelessness is complex. The prevalence of homeless will be regarded to
Veteran, Youth, families, substance abuser, people just released from the jail and chronic
homelessness. Homelessness has to be eliminated in order to maintain a safe, clean and
positive society to leave everyone a good image of the country. In fact homelessness can
only be dwindle but not radically remove, eventually solutions have to be execute toward
homelessness.
Homeless people they don’t have a house or residence, the solution for them is to
build their slums by themselves. And almost all of them are illegal. Scott Leckie said
“The overwhelming majority of new housing built in the world today is built by the
people themselves, by the people who live in those houses, and by the communities in
which they live.” (The Human Right to Adequate Housing). Homelessness in the United
