The life experiences of Eli Wiesel during the Holocaust serve as a greater testament of the
atrocities committed. We can sit and count facts after facts. Take numbers on how many lives
were lost during the Holocaust, walk the concentration camps were millions died, but they are
unable to fit the personal experience. The personal experience that Elie Wiesel shared with us
touches the lives of the reader like any other. Before I read the novel Night, my understanding of
the Holocaust was ignorantly simple, yes I understood people died, and yes I knew what had
