the people of Germany were looking to their leaders for answers. When Hitler presented the Jews
as a scapegoat and accused them of being the source of problems for the Aryan race, the majority
of Germans took to the Nazi’s side, hoping for a brighter future. However, contrary to what
Hitler believed, the elimination of the Jewish people only further damaged an already weakened
Germany in genetic, industrial, and technological ways.
One of the main theories in Hitler’s essay “On Nation and Race”, that the inbreeding of
Aryans would strengthen their gene pool, is false, as it would instead lead to genetic issues for
them over time. Throughout his manifesto, Hitler stresses the need for the dominant race to only
breed with one another to avoid “sacrificing their greatness”. What he failed to understand is that
continuous mating within one race can lead to the emergence of genetic disorders. As Hitler
states, mating within the same species is completely natural. While this claim may be true,
