The shoes of Jackson
As you get older or maybe even as a kid you think about old presidents and how they
were during their presidency or when how their life was. Was Andrew Jackson a successful
president or was he an unsuccessful one? That is a great question people may ask themselves. In
Jackson’s early life, his father died when he was just a baby he was just a regular child going to
school he was born in poverty to then become the wealthiest lawyer in Tennessee. The revolution
war wiped out his family. In 1795 Jackson was the first Tennessee member of Congress, after he
was a senator he then was part of a couple of wars and he ended becoming a hero which led to
him being a president in 1829.
The Nullification Controversy started in the year 1832 and 1833. Jackson was president
at the time his presidency lasted about two terms which is eight years. The Tariff of Abomination
was passed by congress of the United States in order to protect the north industries. In the late
1820’s north was becoming industrialized and the south was staying agriculture. South Carolina
did not like the idea because it was not helping them. SC “declared that the federal Tariffs of
1828 and 1832 were unconstitutional and therefore null and void within the sovereign boundaries
of the state.” Which is why they wanted this bill gone they had no benefits from it. It makes
sense why SC disagrees with this Tariff which is why they got bothered with the Federal
Government and wanted this Tariff gone. Of course, if you see someone you do not like doing
get you will get a little bothered, but when you see them do even better is boils your blood.

Jacksons administration failed to help SC with the issue to they just weren’t go by with what
they needed to do.
The National Bank was created by George Washington and Alexander Hamilton in 1791
the reason they created this bank was, so it can serve as a central repository to federal fund. In
1816 the second bank was founded. Jackson has always hated the bank after he lost a good
amount of money, I do not blame him if someone took your money I as well would be pretty
mad about it. Since Jackson did not like the bank once he became president he definitely look
more into the bank. In 1833 he announced that the government will no longer be available thanks
to his power he got rid of all federal funds.
