The readings in this chapter primarily focused on the various perspectives from the slave
trade. The first source is from the point of view of an 11 year old boy explaining his experience in the
slave trade, while the second source is primarily the slave trade transaction process. The third source
dives into the negative perspectives from kings, while the fourth source shows the economic
perspective of the slave trade from a king and British diplomat. The fifth source shows three different
images illustrating the initial slave negotiation, the slave transporting process, and finally the
advertisement for prospective slave buyers. All of these sources help capture the controversial views
of the slave trade, but there are a few important sources missing that would help us gain a better
understanding these conflicting views. For instance, the majority of the sources come from high
