World War II Homework Assignment
There were many contributing factors that led to the start of World War II, and I will
specifically address this through the roles of different treaties, wars, and nations. To begin, the
Appeasement was a foreign policy created in the 1930s that under-estimated the capabilities of
Germany in order to reduce fear of another war. This policy assumed that Germany was not as scary
as Russia at the time, so it was soft on Hitler and Germany. This led to a sense of entitlement in
Germany because Hitler believed that they could take advantage of the situation and break some of
the rules established in the Treaty of Versailles. The Appeasement was a guiding factor for Germany
to gradually break provisions and push boundaries because they believed that Europe was more
concerned with Russia and could not fathom another war to come. In addition to the Appeasement,
