The sound of things breaking were heard everywhere in the world after the Great war. The
soldiers who went to the war in 1914 believed in bravery and dignity but their emotions changed
to anger and disbelief. A mood of misery and emptiness conquered at the end of the war.
The war effected the whole world collectively, politically, economically, and rationally.
European countries conducted all of their resources into total war which resulted in enormous
social change. Death and causalities punched down all interferences between individuals. In the
Great war there were 9 million soldiers were killed, 15% of combatants and Civilians were killed
for the first time. Many were killed by famine and diseases 20 million died from the Spanish flu
epidemic (Hinson).
Soldiers from all over the world faced many challenges and it was a very bitter victory for them.
