Various philosophers have been debating the significance of historical figures in U.S.
history. Goldberg (2017) noted that most historical figures played significant roles in U.S.
history. As a result, he amassed a group of unique people who shaped U.S. history. For this
assignment, the four historical figures discussed include Thomas Jefferson, James Madison,
