Impact of Life Occurrences and Alcohol Intake
Introduction
Excessive alcohol intake and weight gain have often resulted in a slew of health problems
for those who are affected (Zhao et al, 2020). Young adults between the ages of eighteen and
twenty-five are often the main perpetrators of unhealthy eating habits, especially when they are
drinking (Wong et al, 2018). For several years, alcohol has been a mainstay of every social
gathering, and young adults are more likely to participate in it while at college (Abraham et al,
2018). Since cheap unhealthy foods are readily available (Cook et al, 2017), young adults prefer
to consume a lot of them before or after drinking, thus increasing their calorie intake. For a
variety of factors, many people purposely avoid eating before consuming alcohol (Abraham et al,
2018). Young adults in universities often drink for the sake of having a good time; this is because
they seldom drink alone (Hamilton et al, 2021). Despite the fact that the majority of drinking
students in universities are men, a considerable number of females are also influenced (Wong et
al, 2018). Getting drunk faster and avoiding being obese are two reasons why young adults stop
eating before drinking (Fazzino et al, 2017). This is particularly true for women who are
concerned with their image and appearance (Pompili and Laghi, 2020). This essay will
summarize the research article titled "Exploring the ties between unhealthy eating behavior and
heavy alcohol use in the physical, emotional, and cultural lives of young adults (aged 18–25): A
qualitative research study," which was published by (Scott et al, 2020). The paper will also
discuss how the nurse managing Adam's case should use the best strength-based communication
strategy possible, as well as the most suitable facilities and resources to support Adam. The
