Hillary: The Movie, in my opinion was a disguised campaign ad. Even though, long
before Hillary Clinton decided to run for president, people already had their own opinions about
her, the timing of the “documentary” was everything. Why now? Why did Citizens United
decide to make a “documentary” exploiting all of their negative opinions about a potential
presidential candidate? This documentary could of been made long before, if the intent was to
only inform the public. Instead it was made at a critical time in the election process. Citizens
United took the proper steps to make it seem like this was not a campaign ad. Broadcasting the
movie in theatres, which required someone to voluntarily spend their money, instead of
broadcasting it on public television, was a good direction for Citizens United in order to make it
