Now that you’ve learned how to access research information, complete this assignment and submit it to
the D2L dropbox prior to the next class.
STEP 1: Choose a specific, narrow topic related to human growth and development. This can be
anything you’re interested in that relates to the course. Note: “pregnancy” or “development” or “child
development” are not specific enough, but “negative effects of drug use on pregnancy” is.
TOPIC: Impact of trauma on Child Development & Behavior
STEP 2: Use the information you’ve been given during the library training to locate one of each type of
reference.
A. Website: Find one website that contains information that’s related to your topic. This website
should contain information that is scientific in nature, and of a high quality. The website cannot be
one of the subscription database websites (ProQuest, Academic One). For additional information
